Nigeria Police Constable Recruitment Requirements and Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a Nigerian citizen by birth and own a National Identification Number (NIN);
  • As of January 1st, 2023, and no later than December 31, 2023, the following requirements must be met:
  • Not less than 1.67 meters in height for males and 1.64 meters for females;
  • Have a fully developed chest measurement of not less than 86 cm (34 inches) for men only
  • Be approved by a Government Medical Officer to be physically and mentally fit for an appointment;
  • Not suffering from any form of mental or physical disability;
  • Be free from any financial embarrassment; h) Be of adequate character and must not have been found blameworthy of any criminal offense;
  • Must present verifiable references from any two (2) of the following persons:
    • Traditional Rulers
    • Magistrates
    • Local Government Chairmen
    • Heads of Educational Institutions Attended
    • Career Civil Servants not below the rank of Grade Level 12
    • Police Officers not below the rank of CSP or Military Officers not below the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Specific Requirements

  • SSCE / GCE / NECO / NABTEB results with at least five (5) distinctions, including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings

Procedures to Apply for Nigeria Police Constable Recruitment 2023

  1. Go to http://www.recruitment.psc.gov.ng/
  2. Create an account with your email address
  3. Confirm your account via email confirmation
  4. Fill out the NPF application form
  5. Upload needed credentials
  6. Click ‘Submit.’
