The Recruitment Requirements and Qualifications

The following prerequisite below is for applicants who want to join the Nigerian army trades and non-tradesmen/women recruitment.

1. You must be a single and Nigerian citizen by birth and must maintain a National Identity Card/ NIN or BVN.
2. Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit according to Nigerian Army bars.
3. Applicants must be free of any criminal belief by the court of law.
4. You must maintain a valid birth certification approved by the National Population Commission. Hospital or Local Government Council
5. or valid age declaration.
6. All applicants must have WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB/TRADES TEST/ CITY GUILD CERTIFICATE.
7. An applicant must not be less than 18 years or more than 22 years for non-trades men/women, while tradesmen/women must not be more than 26 years as of 31 April 2023.
8. The prospect must measure at least 1.68 meters tall for males and 1.62 meters tall for females.
9. Applicant must retain a valid certificate of state of origin.

Age Requirements:

• Non-Trades applicants must be between a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 22.
• Trade applicants must be between a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 27.
• The prospect’s minimum height (Male) should not be lower than 1.68.
• The prospect’s minimum Height (Female) should not be lower than 1.62.

Procedures to Apply for the Recruitment

• Go to https://recruitment.army.mil.ng/darrr and create a user account to enable you to log in. Your username must be a functioning email.
• Log in to the portal using the username and password.
• Complete the application form, upload pertinent documents, submit it online, and print a duplicate. Then, print and complete the Guarantor Form as appropriate.
• Ensure you bring with you copies of the application and guarantor forms to your state recruitment centers.

Nigerian Army Recruitment Basic Instructions 2023

1. Prospects are to note that there will be no Pre-Selection Computer Based Test.
2. No Special center for recruitment.
3. All screening of potential recruits will be at the prospects’ respective states of origin.
4. Prospects are not to bring electronic or recording devices to the venue of the State Recruitment Exercise.
5. Also, prospects must adhere to COVID-19 protocols, including regular hand washing, using a face mask, and maintaining a physical distance.
6. Applicants with fabricating or forging results discovered even during training at Depot NA would be disqualified automatically.
7. Prospects must come with their BVN printout.
8. There will be no Zonal Screening Exercise.
9. Prospects are advised in their interest not to give any form of gratification or enticement to any person or group of persons to help them in the recruitment exercise.

11. Names of shortlisted candidates would be printed on the NA website for the awareness of all candidates.

Nigerian Army 85RRI Screening Date & Prerequisites  2023

The Nigerian Army 83rd Regular Recruits Intake (RRI) screening for tradesmen/women and non-tradesmen/women pre-screening will commence on 2nd – 17th June 2023.

All Shortlisted candidates are to report to their separate states of origin for the screening exercise in June 2023.

Shortlisted Candidates are to come for screening with the following:

a. original copies of WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB Certificate in a file jacket.

b. Trade Test/City Guild Certificate for Tradesmen/Women.

c. Printed Bank Verification Number (BVN) certificate ascertained by a bank.

d. Valid birth certificate as approved by the National Population Commission, hospital, Local Government Council of birth, or valid age declaration.

e. Valid certificate of state of origin.

f. WASCE/ GCE/NECO/NABTEB online scratch card.

g. Completed copies of the printouts from the portal including, guarantor forms.

h. Two pairs each of plain white T-shirts and blue shorts.

i. A pair of white canvas and white socks.

Prospects should not make any changes to their documents because doing so will render them invalid and lead to disqualification.

During the exercise, no electronic, mobile, or recording devices will be permitted.

They will be a high standard of the field from all candidates. 

Prospects who violate any teachings during the State Recruitment Screening Exercise would be disqualified.
