Elimu Scholarship Review
The Elimu Kenya scholarship program aims to provide hope, opportunity, and access to education through scholarships to Kenyan students and orphans with financial needs who demonstrate academic excellence and a desire to make a meaningful contribution to society. It is a charitable organization. On July 23, 2005, they formally introduced Elimu Fund.
Benefits Of The Elimu Scholarship Program
The scholarship will often pay the cost of tuition, dorm accommodation and board (if necessary), and other related expenses, including books, uniforms, travel, and a monthly stipend.
Eligibility Requirements
Interested applicants must fulfill the requirements in order to submit a successful application for the scholarship program.
Check below to see the scholarship requirement:
- Candidates with special needs and disabilities (such as those who suffer from physical, hearing, or vision impairments, autism, albinism, learning problems, or other conditions)
- Children who are vulnerable orphans; or
- Candidates from 15 urban centers’ informal settlements
- Candidates from the 49 camp-based schools
- Candidates:
- Whose parents’ or guardians’ health has made it difficult for them to care for their children’s financial commitments.
- Whose parents or guardians may become cashless and unable to care for their families if they are HIV/AIDS positive or have other chronic illnesses with crippling effects.
- Whose homes are afflicted by severe poverty, making it impossible for them to educate their children who have experienced abuse and neglect and without the resources to complete their education.
Application Process
Before you begin your scholarship application, the candidate must be in a secondary public or private school that the Kenyan Ministry of Education recognizes.
To begin the application process, do the following:
- Online submission of the application
- Admission letter to the school you plan to attend (scan and email to [email protected]).
- Wait for responses

- Click on the STUDENT APPLICATION FORM
- Register your profile
- Click Continue
- Complete the Elimu application details
- Provide the required document
- Submit your application
