The BURGER KING Scholars program aids high school seniors in the US, PR, and Canada in pursuing their education. It also aids employees’ children and domestic partners, as well as spouses and partners. 

The initiative has given more than 46,000 students more than $53 million in scholarships. Nearly 4,000 eligible students received scholarships of $4.3 million just last year.

Burger King Scholarship 2023 Awards

Based on the amount of money raised by participating franchisees, the permitted distribution of fresh rewards is decided each year.

For awardees in the United States and Canada, the currency of all award checks will be USD. Early August will see the mailing of checks to recipients, which will be made out to the school for the student and mailed to the student’s home address. They will process checks according to the student’s request based on the recipient’s enrollment for recipients pursuing enrichment programs.

There is no possibility of renewal or deferral for awards. The $1,000 employee-based track grantees may, though, reapply to the program each year that they satisfy the eligibility standards, and they are only limited to four grants totaling a total of $4,000 in total. The $1,000 general rewards (up to $4,000) are open to regional and specially-named award winners who reapply.

You can use an employee-based track scholarship to pay for undergraduate, graduate, and non-traditional courses at approved schools.

Scholarships are available solely for undergraduate studies for General High School Senior Track participants. Winners of the General High School Senior Track award only get one prize; they can’t try again.

In May 2023, applicants will learn of their outcomes. They will not award scholarships to everyone.

The applicant must be a citizen of the United States, have a significant amount of job experience, and be in financial need.
  • Six maximum (6) The best employees receive King Awards worth $10,000 (1 award per region)
  • Numerous special-named prizes are given to different franchisees each year, and they choose winners depending on the money they raise.

Burger King Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

Interested candidates must meet the eligibility requirements to apply for the program. Check below to see what you need to qualify:

  • being a resident of Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, or the United States
  • Be graduating high school seniors in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, or Canada; be graduating from grade 12 in Canada; or be finishing homeschooling in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, or Canada.
  • Have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent, and 
  • Intend to enroll full-time, continuously, for the entire 2023–24 academic year at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, vocational-technical school, CEGEP, or equivalent in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, or Canada.

To apply for the Burger King scholarship program, meet the criteria. Furthermore, the application process is much simpler and less stressful.

An online application will be the only available format. They will review the initial 50,000 applications. The application must be submitted in either of the three languages: English, Spanish, or French. They will not accept an application form that is incomplete or illegible.
