About the WBG-Young Professionals Program

The world bank and IFC teamed up to bring their young professional program into one World Bank Group Young Professional Program (WBG YPP). The WBG YPP is a five-year job contract with the World Bank, IFC, or MIGA that begins with two-year leadership development. 

The WBG YPP will select and train future leaders to work productively across our institutions on collaborative WBG solutions to development challenges, building on the rich foundation of its previous programs.

Currently, all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply from a variety of professional, academic, and cultural backgrounds.

WBG-Young Professionals Program Salary

Depending on job experience, academic credentials, talents, and technical understanding of the candidate, net wages might range from 82,000.00 USD to 150,800.00 USD.

Eligibility For The WBG YPP

To be considered for the program, check the conditions below:

  • An individual born on or after October 1, 1990
  • Hold a master’s or doctoral degree
  • Focus on a specialty related to the YPP Business Areas
  • Show evidence of relevant professional experience or ongoing doctorate study
  • Proficiency in English

  • Have a good academic record
  • Display outstanding client involvement, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Show off your understanding of current industry trends.

  • Work experience in undeveloped or emerging markets
  • Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish are the only languages considered official languages by the WBG.
