The Federal Government has announced that former N-power program beneficiaries can now take advantage of job opportunities made available for program volunteers, beginning with an agent network developed in collaboration with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

At the 4th annual review of the Home Grown School Feeding Program (NHGSFP), Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, revealed this. The N-Power program’s batches A and B of beneficiaries are eligible.

Through the development of the NEXIT portal, which would enable those who choose to sign up to access other government empowerment opportunities to do so, the Federal Government has made plans for the transition of the N-power Batch A and B.

Three job opportunities (SANEF, Agric enumerator, and GEEP) have been announced by the federal government for former Npower Volunteers and will be made available through the NEXIT portal.

200,000 beneficiaries will be engaged as financial services operators under the Shared Agent Network Expansion Facility (SANEF).

Under the Mass Agriculture Program, over 30,000 former N-Agro beneficiaries have been hired and sent to local government areas all across the nation to count farmers, map farmland, and act as geospatial experts.

Others will have the option of benefiting from the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP), given opportunities to improve or start new businesses under a micro-enterprise initiative.
